So here’s my new rule, and I invite you to adopt it: if a once-every-four-years (or rarer) event comes within an hour of your home, you go. No spreadsheet analysis. No “let me check the resale market Wednesday.” Go away. The memory dividend compounds far longer than whatever that money would have earned in the S&P 500.
